Only while Work Mode is on. The worker turns it on to start the day and off to end it - or you set work hours and the app switches it for them while it is open. While it is on, location is visible to the manager on the live crew map; when it is off, nothing is recorded. Left on with the app closed, it keeps recording until it is turned off.
If a technician needs privacy during the workday, one tap turns Work Mode off and stops all tracking until they turn it back on. With Work Mode off, nothing is recorded.
Managers can edit any GPS-generated entry before approval - the GPS record is always a draft, and human review is the final step. Every change keeps what it said before, what it says now, who changed it and why.
Less than continuous tracking - the app samples at most once a minute, and only after the phone has moved about 30 metres. We do not publish a battery percentage we have not measured; run one crew for a week during the trial and measure it on your own phones.
