Does this replace foremen reporting crew hours?+
Yes, and that is most of the value. Each worker's own phone records their own arrivals and departures, so hours are captured per person rather than one person recalling the week for the whole crew. The foreman moves from being the timekeeping system to reviewing a record that already exists.
Does Punchless produce certified payroll for prevailing-wage jobs?+
Yes. Certified payroll reporting is included on every plan and is generated from the same approved timecards used for payroll, so the two always agree. Because the hours originate as GPS arrivals and departures rather than typed estimates, they stand up better under a wage audit.
What about subcontractors on our sites?+
Punchless tracks your own employees who have the app on their phone. Subcontractor hours are not captured unless those workers are users in your account, which for most contractors they are not. It is a record of your labor, not of everyone on the site.
Can it handle a crew that moves between two sites in one day?+
Yes. Each site has its own geofence, so leaving the first and arriving at the second produces both crossings and splits the day automatically. You get hours per site instead of a single day you have to allocate afterwards.
Does Punchless do job costing by cost code?+
Not today. Punchless gives you accurate hours per person per job site, which is the input job costing needs, but it does not break labor down by phase or cost code inside a job. If cost-code-level costing is a requirement, export the approved hours and bring them into the system you already use for it.
