SMS Messaging Program & Opt-In

Punchless lets field-service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, and pool service) send their own customers service-related (transactional) text messages about a job the customer requested. Messages are sent by the business you are a customer of, using Punchless and Twilio to deliver them. Punchless does not send marketing or promotional texts.

Status: pending carrier approval. US carriers register each business that sends transactional texts individually, and that registration is still in progress. Until it completes, every notification described on this page is delivered by email instead. The opt-in form linked below is live and collecting consent now, so nothing is texted to anyone who has not agreed to it.

How your customers opt in

Every Punchless business gets a public online booking page. When a customer requests service, they fill out the form and can optionally check the SMS-consent box. The box is unchecked by default, and consent is never required to request service - the business will still follow up by phone or email.

Below is the exact opt-in area a customer sees on the booking form, shown here for Punchless Review. The live form is linked further down - this is the same checkbox and consent language referenced throughout this program.

Frequency, rates, and opting out

  • Frequency: varies by job - typically 1–5 messages per service request.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop all messages.
  • Help: reply HELP or email hello@getpunchless.com.

Where the opt-in appears

Every Punchless business gets its own public booking page, and the checkbox shown above is the one on it. You can open a live example and see the opt-in exactly as a customer does:

https://app.getpunchless.com/book/PunchlessReview

The consent box on that page is unchecked by default and submitting the form without ticking it still requests service - consent is never required.
