Oregon's meal rule is inclusive at the threshold and steps again at 14 hours, which catches long storm-response and harvest days.
What the law requires
A 30-minute meal period for a work period of 6 hours or more, and a second for a work period of 14 hours or more.
What it means on a crew
Both thresholds are inclusive. Exactly 6.0 hours owes a meal and exactly 14.0 owes a second one - the opposite of California, and a boundary our own engine got wrong until August 2026.
