Nevada meal break rules for field crews
Nevada's daily overtime rule is unusual: whether it applies at all depends on what the individual employee earns relative to minimum wage, which makes it the one state rule we cannot configure correctly per company.
What the law requires
An uninterrupted 30-minute meal period for a continuous period of 8 hours of work.
What it means on a crew
Inclusive, unlike California - a continuous period of exactly 8 hours owes a meal. Our own engine had this wrong until August 2026 and a test asserted the error as correct.
What Punchless does
The threshold is now inclusive and asserted by test at exactly 8.0 hours.
